After i popped a pimple the next day it has a red stop on it, why?

so i popped a pimple where it doesnt leave a scar, after that i put some aspirin on it and some kind of pimple dry thingy, then the nnext day there;s a red spot on it, why is it an irritation, if so how can i prevent it and how long will it stay|||Don%26#039;t worry about that.
